My ran a fever again through the night and is on the verge today, but test results continue to look ok. Daniel said people were in and out of the room all night checking on My.
The team upped feeds again today. My is tolerating them really well! This means, adjusting insulin again, but My has been doing great with insulin. That’s been really manageable.
The pain team came in today and took out the epidurals after all. They have some new pain and nausea meds on deck to help manage without the epidural. My had quite a bit of pain when they woke up, but they think that’s because they weren’t able to push the pain button while sleeping.
My is getting some lung strength back with the incentives spirometer too.
PT was back in office today! (Yayyy!!) It’s just really obvious this is what they do. They get My up and around so much more seamlessly, the cords don’t tangle as much, they keep My more comfortable and they are able to push My further. My made it out of the room and down the hall a little bit today! Woot woot! I was so proud!
There is still talk about moving My to the regular floor today. As of now the 11th floor doesn’t have a room open, so we likely won’t get there today. TBD.
The team also scheduled a G-J Tube information class that we will all take on Wednesday.
