Surgery day today #1

June 30, 2026

Twins and I got up early and met Daniel and My in the hospital, Starbs in hand. My was in really good spirits. The twins and I had tired zoomies and had My cracking up at us.

They went back at 6:40am and it took about 3 hours to get all the tubes, epidurals, and lines in. They came out about an hour ago and said everything is going well. There’s just lots of adhesions and scar tissue so they hadn’t reached the organs they are going for at all yet. We knew that going in though, so it’s not surprise. We’re just glad everything is going well.

Our diabetes teacher, Ms Mary Joy, came to the waiting room and had a class with us for quite awhile. It was a nice and welcomed distraction. We also spoke with the surgeon, the anesthesiologist, and the pain psychologist.

Still a long day ahead.
