Tomorrow we finally head home!

Mylin and I are so ready to sleep in our own beds! Although we are so thankful for the Ronald McDonald House, these beds are SO short! I am 5ft 5in tall and my feet hang off when I lay on my stomach. Our bodies also just have not wanted to adjust to the 3 hour East vs. West time difference.

We hung around to make sure all of the loose ends and appointments were tied up, and with flights back-and-forth being tricky.. it gave us one extra day here. The nice thing was Mylin got to do the one thing they have been begging to do since they found out, it was here, and that was go to the African Safari park. It is just under three hours away. We drove early this morning in an intense rainstorm, and came back in even more of an intense rainstorm. However, the absolute joy that I saw in this kid made every hour with it! I’ll add some of the cuteness below! They said they got to fill their life long dream of feeling like a Disney Princess. 💕 They also said they saved every once if energy for it, and I believe it because the crashed for the over 3 hours it took to come home.

Now we wait to get surgery dates finalized. As I believe I shared, the entire TPIAT team from Columbus is in Texas all week volunteering at a summer camp that’s just for kiddos with pancreatitis. I think it’s so absolutely awesome that they do that! The camp was created by a girl who asked for that to be her gift for her “Make a Wish”! We should expect to hear from them in about a week and a half. They did say that if we decided to move forward, they would like to make Mylin‘s hope of having an early summer surgery, so that they could return to high school as soon as it starts, a possibility.
